"Together we are changing the rules of pornography." This is what the burgeoning (queer) feminist porn scene promises. But according to what rules does pornography work? And to what extent are new porn makers trying to break with the usual norms and forms of representation? On the one hand, pornography stands for female objectification, male-dominated pleasure images and gender stigmatization. On the other hand, it stands for sexual self-empowerment, sex positivism and the expression of one's own sexuality independent of social norms. Female homosexuality in particular moves in a separate field of tension, which this work is dedicated to. Sadie Lune's The MILF Next Door is an exemplary approach to the emerging queer-feminist porn movement. In direct comparison to mainstream pornography, structural viewing habits, social leitmotifs and hierarchical structures are questioned. The analysis always moves in front of the special intention that pornography combines like no other medium: the experience of lust, excitement and sexual (self-)gratification.
